Kit!!

Well here it is. 8.8kg of assorted gubbins which will be strapped to my back and front come 8th April. There's some stuff in there that I could probably do without to save a few grammes but as I'm not busting a gut for an elite placing any more I figure a couple of home comforts won't cause any harm. Top of that list is my MP3 player; my pack straps have developed an annoying squeak which potentially could drive me insane over the course of the week. Plus if I can't hear anyone I won't get involved in someone else's race and potentially push myself too hard a la Beacons Ultra. No offence guys but I'm running a solitary race. I'll be chatty as a chatty thing back in the bivouac so excuse me for any perceived ignorance on the course.

Very, very pleased with the fit of the packs and looking forward to a comfortable race.
